Chiswick Park - 490 Boston Post Road, Sudbury
 
Your monetary donations will be collected to safely dispose of electronics such as computer equipment, office equipment, TV’s, and small appliances/electronics. 
 
Large appliances, refrigerators, hot water tanks/heaters, and any items containing chemicals/hazardous waste materials cannot be accepted.

Registration is still open for Grades 1-4 Spring 2017 Softball!

 

SGS offers a fun, skills-based program for all Lincoln and Sudbury girls.

Please see below for descriptions of each league. To register, click on the link to the left that says "Register Online." 

 

* Note: Equipment required for softball -- glove; batting helmet with cage; fielding mask for grades 3 and up.

SGS is open to all interested players -- no girl is ever excluded for financial reasons. If the cost of registration and/or equipment is an issue, please contact our Registrar at: softballsudbury@gmail.com

 

 

MINOR LEAGUE:

 

The minor league is open to all 1st and 2nd graders and focuses on the following elements: 

  • Fundamental skill building (hitting, fielding, catching, throwing, base running)
  • Introducing game play (coaches pitch/hit off a tee)
  • Positive reinforcement of early skill development (e.g. no strikeouts - hit off a tee after 3 strikes in a game)
  • Learning/experiencing all positions (no catchers at this level)
  • Teamwork and sportsmanship and enjoying their introduction to the game
 
Days: Mondays and Saturdays
Time: Weeknights 6-7:30 pm; Saturdays 10:30 - 11:45 am
Dates: April 25 - June 18
Cost: $150 
 

 

JUNIOR LEAGUE: LIMITED SPOTS REMAINING!

 

The Junior League is for girls in 3rd and 4th grade. The focus continues on fundamental skill building  (fielding, catching, throwing, hitting), teamwork and sportsmanship, along with the introduction of pitching and catching skills and situational game thinking. The early spring season will focus on skills development, moving into a schedule of increasingly competitive, fun games (combo of player and coach pitch) and an exciting season-ending, league tournament. 

 

Days: Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
Time: Weeknights 6-8:00 pm; Saturdays 2:30pm - 4:30pm
Dates: April 25 - June 18
Cost: $195

Here's your chance to clean out your basement, attic, and garage and safely dispose of your electronics! Come to the Electronics Recycling event at Chiswick Park on Saturday, April 1st to benefit the LS softball program!

The LS softball program and Friends of Lincoln-Sudbury Softball (FOLSS) is sponsoring an Electronics Recycling fundraiser on Saturday, April 1st, from 9:00-2:00 at Chiswick Park, 490 Boston Post Rd in Sudbury.

Monetary donations will be collected to safely dispose of electronics such as computer equipment, office equipment, and small appliances/electronics. Large appliances and items containing chemicals/hazardous waste materials cannot be accepted. Please come, rain or shine, and support your local girls softball program!
